From Mark’s site:
Alone in the lounge room, television spitting images of human devastation. It’s about 8 o’clock. The girl’s just left for the airport, interstate…tying up a contract in Sydney. It’s just him and the remote control. She wont be away long and he’s relishing the solitude. What will he do tonight? The world is his temporary oyster. He gazes absent mindedly at the tellie. People are running down a city street screaming with fear. Change channel. Same thing.
Gravity
Will never hold me down
When I fly by remote control
I never touch the ground
A superhero lurching sideways
In the kitchen
I’m making revolution by the television light
Are you alive tonight?
When I escape
When I dream of you
These pretty pictures of Disneyland
They keep breaking through
I still hear those voices calling
In the twilight
And I’m safe inside another universe tonight
Are you alive tonight?
Humans run like horses down the canyon
Feel their fear, see the dust in the sky
They’re letting go
From all their pride and blunder soon
I’m just one of the millions
Make revolution by the television light
I’m hypnotised
Will I escape another universe tonight?
Is anybody left alive?
Humans run like horses down the canyon
Feel their fear, see the dust in the sky
It’s getting late
Pick up that phone and call me soon
Is anybody left alive?
Is anybody left alive?
Is anybody left alive?
Is anybody left alive?
