Can “The Fireman’s Curse” just have a do-over album? Seriously, hahaha?
With all the live material, new material, plus a couple of possible stragglers (I’m looking at you “Beehive” and “Wilderness”), there’s enough there to make a seriously solid (double?) album of the early years.
If the Sunnyboys can recreate their “Individuals” album with almost entirely different mixes, why can’t the same be done for what is the most… unique album in the band’s catalogue?
Make it a PledgeMusic exclusive, increase communication between backers and the band/project host and it’s a done deal!

My vision is an era gig, filling an 80 minute disc… 🙂
I think the Gluepot would be the optimal gig for this era, seeing as it kept the band together for everything thereafter!
Maybe go a step further, and have a live gig boxset, one from each era of the band.
Hell, I’d love for the extended Way To Go Out live sessions, the tracks released from that outstrip the retail release, just from not being over produced.
I’m still down for a Jetsonnes collection as well!
I saw them at the Seaview Ballroom before they went to Germany to record The Fireman’s Curse and all the songs sounded great (even Fish Roar). Something must have happened between that gig and the studio that completely ruined the material (except for the title song, Judas Sheep and Sway which are pretty great)
Mylene – what I have recorded here definitely backs up your memories. Sounds stellar live. Did not work as well in the studio.
