Last night, in the Victorian regional small town of Castlemaine, there was an event so secret that even we did not know about it!
A mysterious band, Scar Stories, fronted the Theatre Royale. It was to be the final preparation for the 2014 tour — a top secret Hunters and Collectors warm up gig. All reports are ecstatic.
Thanks to all for coming out to support Scar Stories last night. We were honoured to be a a part of it and had a fantastic night!
– Hunters and Collectors
Sixteen years from the final tour, the unthinkable is happening.
The drums, the bass, the guitars, the brass, the intensity. One of Australia’s most unique and powerful bands is back on stage. All eight members of the original band in fine form.
Pretty amazing. Packed out, really hot, big sounds. We’re back!
– Rob Miles, sound and art
We are crazed excited here at True Believers. This is the tour that was never meant to happen. The prize for fans that was for so long unforeseeable after the band sold their gear and took up day jobs. This is special.
And it all starts with Geelong tomorrow; then on to the Hunter Valley and Brisbane next weekend.
Be sure to check out the Tour section for all upcoming dates. Beware, some dates are sold out and more are close – like Brisbane, where there are only a handful of ‘gold’ tickets left – with the other three categories sold out!
We hope to see you around!
Wow, its finally happening! wooohoooo

Oh my God.. that set list!
Nothing from two of the albums which is understandable, but otherwise a fantastic mix of tracks. Four I really hope the setlists for AAMI Park will be a condensed version of this, or even this. I’d much prefer to shave a bit of time of Dan Sultan and the Boss for a setlist like this, haha.
Whoah, that is an interesting setlist! I thought they played some unexpected stuff at the Geelong show, such as This Morning, Crime of Passion, Dog (as a four-piece) and Everything’s on Fire, but that setlist has even more curiosities!
The Geelong setlist was a cutdown version of the above setlist: the band apparently went over time, but returned for a second encore of Head Above Water. Would have loved to have gotten Hear No Evil!

There was a big video screen behind the band, with visuals being displayed for most songs: sometimes it was parts of the appropriate filmclip, other times it was animation. Crime of Passion had rose petals falling on a H&C logo, which eventually was replaced by drops of blood.
Wow! Hunnas are back, just like they never left. It was a pretty cathartic experience for me, was great to be able to let loose hearing them really and truly live and kicking.
I was at the Sirromet ADOTG, the main set was as above but with one big encore and different tracks:

So glad they included Throw Your Arms, this song has very personal attachment. Mark also replaced the lyrics for the middle verses, did he do this at any other gig?
Hi Mark!
An incredible night indeed 🙂 It was my first of the tour and exceeded expectations – they got more songs in, with more variety, than I was anticipating! And the massive, massive crowd that was all in on it.
Mark changed the middle verse a year or two ago and has performed it that way in his solo shows from that time. I expect he is doing it at all gigs.
Cheers
Are those new lyrics available anywhere?
Hi Mark
It’s at the bottom of the lyrics on the Arms page…

Though he may have changed it slightly since: I must listen closely this Saturday…
Cheers
