We The People (dance remix 1)

Source: We The People (Aus 12 Test Pressing – Miles Fenech)

On the encouragement of vinyl extraordinaire fan Mark, while partaking in the second ‘Vault’ recording session a couple of months ago, we tackled every single bit of pristine vinyl Rob Miles had sitting around. The post analysis revealed a couple of minor imperfections enough to make a fan rather upset, leaving the recordings merely in the “very good” range.

Perhaps the most unexpected find was a 12 inch 45rpm single that merely had a hand written marker of “We The People test pressing” on it. Since there was no 12 inch We The People single, it was odd, but initially thought to just be a 12″ version of the existing CD single.

As it turns out, the 12 inch record contains unreleased dance remixes of We The People. There appear to be two copies of the 7:04 remix we are sharing here today on it, along with another remix that clocks in at 6:21. We will share this, too, in due course.

I really enjoyed this one, a completely new take on the track, which is really refreshing.

Can’t wait to hear the other remix!

I have a vinyl copy of this, bought off ebay years ago (although from memory, the title is printed not handwritten on mine) I think I showed it to you one night Stu, but we may never have gotten together to listen to it. Oops! My bad!

Hi Jobby, for some reason I didn’t recall you had this! Maybe I thought it was unrelated to the band; but Rob’s vinyl shows that it is related somewhere. Is there any catalogue number on the copy you have? I’m thinking promo only?
