We have reached some great milestones over the last week:
1. The website is now completely transferred to the new WordPress format and the old website fully decommissioned. This was a massive job as the site has more than 1000 pages. Thanks to the many good people who gave advice and assistance during development and implementation of the new site, including Gary, Roger M, Tom and Greg.
2. We have completed the process of typing up and publishing the entire article collection of Rob Miles. To everyone who has written out articles in this 15 month project, thank you. This includes – but is not limited to – Tammy, Mark H, Tim, Roger B, Matt, Gary and Trevor. Winning the ‘buy this person a beer wherever and whenever you find them’ award is Stephen, who amassed 50 – yes, 50 – articles. The total article count is now at an incredible 590 and expanding with the current media exposure.
3. The Vault project has progressed to a point where all type 1 cassettes, type 2 cassettes, DAT tapes and vinyl of Rob Miles has been digitised. There is still a need for post editing to perfect it, but we have plenty for the Vault track of the week for the foreseeable future. A further phase is under way that we are hoping may uncover more gems. We are less involved in this phase but have a minor coordination role.
Overall, we have made some massive progress, coinciding with the resurgence of Hunters and Collectors activity. In the last two months, we have received more media, booking and other enquiries than in the previous 12 year history of the website.
True Believers remains a not for profit ‘labour of love’ for all involved. Thank you for being a part of it.
