Stuart Faster/Louder has tipped us off on some more details about the mysterious Hunters tribute album… looks like it will have 14 tracks 🙂
The Avalanches have remixed a Hunters & Collectors track for an upcoming Mushroom tribute album.
Due out this year, it’ll feature contributions from Cloud Control, Matt Corby & Missy Higgins, The Rubens, and 11 other acts; all of whom will be unveiled this Thursday (August 8). The Avalanches have taken a stab at Hunters & Collectors’ first single ‘Talking To A Stranger’, which appeared on their self-titled 1982 debut. “The remix is cut up with an old disco sample,” said a release from the band’s label Modular, which went to great lengths to point out that this “is not new music from The Avalanches”.
