Hunters and Collectors muso Barry Palmer has teamed up with Buchanan Band’s Josh Simons to set up an online app for musicians.
The duo have created VAMPR, a social networking application to connect musicians for work and social purposes.
To kick off the app, they’ve launched a contest to find two singers to join Buchanan on stage as the opening act for Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood’s December tour of Australia.
The app has already been making waves in the US, where it picked up the audience choice award at Silicon Beach Fest 2016.
“Who you know and where you live have traditionally been the biggest restrictions for the bedroom musician in doing anything to further explore their passion,” Simons said. “We’ve tried to break down these barriers.”
