In 1986, Hunters and Collectors produce an album entitled, “Human Frailty”, which went gold in Australia within a few months. This was their first gold album in their home territory, (they were earlier awarded the same for their self titled LP in New Zealand). The album, and subsequent extensive touring of Australia and New Zealand, met with much critical and public acclaim. At the end of 1986 the band toured North America, where they again garnered strong reviews of the album and their live performance.
During 1987 Hunters and Collectors have recorded a three-track EP, “Living Daylight”, produced by American Producer/Engineer Greg Edward and the band, at AAV Studio 1 in Melbourne. Tracks include, “Inside A Fireball”, a song about the outback mining town of Broken Hill, the title track and “Janiary Rain”. To coincide with the US release of this EP in early April, Hunters and Collectors will continue to expand on the very promising audience base they established in 1986, by embarking on a another 35 date tour of clubs and universities in North America, between April 20th and late June.
