Two of Australia’s most notable rock voices turn a new page in their respective histories in 2005 with their first co-headline tour.
Aussie legend James Reyne and former Hunters and Collectors front-man Mark Seymour join forces in the wake of their Liberation Blue Acoustic albums to revisit their greatest songs.
The Liberation Blue Acoustic Series is a unique forum for some of Australia’s most revered and prolific songwriters.
In 2004, the first four volumes of the Liberation Blue Acoustic Series began with fresh recordings by the Black Sorrows, Stephen Cummings, Diesel and Mick Thomas.
James Reyne and Mark Seymour released their latest albums as part of the second series.
The second series also includes albums by Nick Barker and The Church.
Seymour’s Daytime and the Dark album is a collection heavy with reinterpreted and rearranged Hunters and Collectors gems, solo classics and new material.
Reyne’s And the Horse You Rode In On! includes a fond return to a cache of Australian Crawl songs, alongside a wealth of solo hits and covers.
Mark Seymour and James Reyne will perform individually and together, with the headlining order reversing from night to night.
The pair will hit Logan’s Gilhooley’s Irish Bar on May 22 from 6pm.
Tickets cost $25.
For bookings or more information, phone Gilhooley’s on 3209 7188.
