Greetings Stuart Fenech,

We’re driving south now, back down the Hume having just played at Gateway Lakes, Wodonga.. which I think was the fifteenth show in the red hot summer series

So nine to go.

The crowds have been overwhelming positive.

“Needless to say, words are beginning to pop and the first of several recording sessions is set for late May, shortly after the tour ends.”

There’s something deeply gratifying in the sheer enthusiasm of a regional audiences. Red hot summer has become a truly national festival of Australian music that pretty much goes every where..

We’ve been as far inland as Mildura, a seven hour drive north west of here. A rare thing indeed.

And while we’re on the subject, there’s been plenty of driving. Driving is an intrinsic part of the gig.

The road has become a way of life for me and even though it’s not for everyone it has always set my mind wandering..

Needless to say, words are beginning to pop and the first of several recording sessions is set for late May, shortly after the tour ends.

Apart from that, other news from us is that we’ve added shows to the theatre run:

You all made this happen by getting your tickets early, supporting live music, thanks for that!

In the mean time I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t see this year’s red hot summer line up to get along, if the tour comes to you..

We’re heading up the east coast next.. to far North Queensland and the top end..

Get onto it.

It’s a massive day of music.
