Rock legend Mark Seymour and wife Jo Vautier are selling their private and stylish Mornington home backing on to Tanti Creek.
The Hunters & Collectors main man transformed a garden room into a hidden studio at the contemporary dream pad at 11 Flame Tree Grove, listed for $2.95m-$3.2m.
He told Property Confidential the tranquil bush setting had been a creative inspiration, particularly over the past couple of years.
The private home is sheltered behind native flora.
An expansive open-plan kitchen, living and dining area behind the front door.

“I got into the habit of sitting out on the deck, perched on the edge of the creek, in the open air, because I’ve never done that before — completely isolated but open to the sky,” he said.
“I’ve never written outside in my whole career, so that was definitely a first, sitting with a guitar in the open air and just recording, and that was definitely an impulse, but driven by being there and listening to the sounds.”
The Holy Grail and Throw Your Arms Around Me singer-songwriter also turned a space extending from one of the three bedrooms into a studio on the lower level.

Ms Vautier used a study on that floor for her holistic healing practice, with the clever design ensuring every corner is used.
A covered balcony extends from the upper level’s lounge area.
Another living area is on the lower level.

Seymour said the privacy was a major plus, despite being convenient to shops, just back from Mornington’s Esplanade, and the creek “tends to permeate the whole experience”.
“The living area is fantastic with the upper deck and the view straight out through those big windows. It’s discreet, full of light and it’s really warm,” he said.
“It’s been a great party house as well, to be honest, we’ve had lots of parties.”
Nicholas Lynch agent Dean McPherson said the position walking distance to Mills Beach, Main St and backing onto Tanti Creek was a big selling point.
The main living area, kitchen and main bedroom all being on the one level of the high-quality Gilpip Homes build was another drawcard of the property, listed for private sale.
A third small deck area is at the front of the home.
Native bushland by the creek can be enjoyed from this bedroom.
