Performers in the music industry have had a devastating couple of years. Constant cancellations, the reshuffling and postponement of shows and tours have taken their toll – data from I Lost My Gig Australia, an initiative to measure the impact of COVID-19 on the entertainment industry, shows a tally of 32,000 gigs and events cancelled since July 2021.

Artists are always the first to step up and support fundraising efforts, so it only seems right that we show some love to the community that always has our backs and has cunningly diversified in those quiet months.

Watch a live stream, spread the word on social media, sign up for presales and mailing lists, and subscribe to your favourite artists online at Patreon or wherever they are. Hold onto your tickets for cancelled shows. Buy their records, their T-shirts and their trucker caps – or some of the more unusual items listed below – let’s shop artist merch this Christmas! This selection is just the tip of the iceberg.
