The ‘Garage Slam’

Greetings,

Got Vaccinated on May 3.. Second shot in twelve weeks.

At risk of preaching.. get it done punters. It’s the only way we’re going to get on top of this thing.

We’re right at the start of June and sadly Victoria has gone back into lockdown.

I’m penning this from Sydney in advance of the broadcast of ‘Australia’s biggest Singalong’ on SBS television next Saturday, live from the Sydney Town hall, featuring the genius of musical director Astrid Jorgensen and the biggest pub choir Australia has ever seen.

We’ll be singing ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me.’

In the meantime, I had to wrangle the last flight out of Victoria before the border closed a week in advance.

We’re still several days out and I’m not sure how long I’ll be here, wandering around Sydney and hanging ‘round the State Library of all places.. writing. This and other things.

The Undertow are in semi-hibernation right now for obvious reasons but there’s a mini tour slated for the start of August.. in NSW and Vic.. assuming we get on top of this latest outbreak of Covid..

And enough punters get vaccinated..
