Coronavirus in Ballarat: Red Hot Summer Tour ‘likely’ to be cancelled

The Ballarat leg of the Red Hot Summer Tour is likely to be cancelled, according to festival organisers.

The concert is scheduled to come to Ballarat on March 28, but it is looking increasingly unlikely.

All ticketholders will receive a full refund if it is cancelled or postponed.

The event was due to be held in Kiama at New South Wales, before it was postponed due to extreme winds that caused site and infrastructure damage.

The next stop is due to be Wodonga for the upcoming weekend, with Ballarat due to follow afterwards.

According to a Facebook post from the organisers of the festival, a decision is expected to be announced on Monday afternoon.

The event regularly draws in thousands of spectators to Ballarat, having been sold out months in advance for 2020.

It was scheduled to be held at the North Gardens, near Lake Wendouree.
