One of Australia’s all-time great pub rock bands will reform in time to headline next year’s Sounds By the River concert at Mannum.

Hunters and Collectors have played together only occasionally since their break-up in 1999, including at their induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005, a bushfire relief concert in 2009 and the 2013 AFL grand final.

The seven-piece band, fronted by Mark Seymour, will draw on a repertoire of anthems including When the River Runs Dry, Do You See What I See?, Holy Grail and Throw Your Arms Around Me at the January 11, 2020 concert.

Also featuring on the heavyweight bill will be former Australian Crawl front man James Reyne, powerhouse rock act the Living End, the iconic Angels, the recently reformed Baby Animals, pop-rockers Killing Heidi and the evergreen Boom Crash Opera, whose lead singer Dale Ryder will return after a four-year hiatus.

Tickets will be available at Mannum Visitor Information Centre or www.ticketmaster.com.au from August 8.
