The 2014 tour kicks off today in Geelong, meaning that only one week from now us Queenslander’s get our first show since 1998!
To celebrate, we have unearthed a unique live recording from the notorious Playroom on the Gold Coast – a very early version of Where Do You Go?
The lyrics and instrumentation are noticeably different from the subsequent hit song we know and live.
With the tour start coinciding with the Australia Day long weekend, we are a little crazed here at True Believers, so we will also also throw in a bonus track this week of one of the most Australian things to be found in the back catalog.
It’s a spontaneous brief instrumental jam from the band cracked out while Mark was having a costume change at the final Hi Fi gig in Melbourne in 1998 (formal source: 1998 03 22 Hi Fi Bar (3rd night, final public gig), Melbourne, Australia DAT). It’s Baz, John and Doug having some fun.
