Iconic Australian band Hunters & Collectors will play at Mt Cotton this weekend.

After kicking off the first of their 11 A Day on the Green shows in Geelong on January 25, the multi-platinum selling band will make their way up the east cost to perform at Sirromet Wines on Sunday, February 2.

A Day on the Green is recognised as a celebration of food, wine and music.

Supporting Hunters & Collectors at Mt Cotton from 3:30pm will be special guests You Am I, Something For Kate and British India.

Following the release of tribute album Crucible – The Songs of Hunters & Collectors, featuring contributions from the likes of The Living End, the band will reform for the first Australia-wide tour since breaking up in 1998.

Since 1981, the band has accumulated five top 10 albums.

The band are approaching their 2000th career show.
