Crucible – The Songs Of Hunters & Collectors. Photo: Hunters & Collectors

It’s been a 15 long years since the legendary Hunters & Collectors disbanded after firmly making their mark on the Australian music industry and they have a new tribute album out called Crucible. We’ve heard it, and it’s very good.

The tribute album really is a salute to the great Aussie band.

“When you see so many absolute stars coming together to redo all these songs and do their take on Hunters, it’s pretty bloody impressive,” said Triple M’s Becko.

The Living End’s version of “Say Goodbye” is amazing, Eddie Vedder and Neil Finn combine for a brilliant cover of “Throw Your Arms Around Me” and Birds of Tokyo’s “Talking To A Stranger” is fantastic.

We caught up with the great Hunters frontman Mark Seymour to talk about this amazing album alongside indie rockers British India and The Living End, who both appear on the album. Listen below.
