Announced this morning for their first tour since 1998, Hunters and Collectors will be heading around the country on the now traditional summer standard A Day on the Green concert series.

Starting late next January, and stretching over weekends until April, ten A Day on the Green concerts will be performed plus a couple of theatre shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Hunters & Collectors will be joined at various stages by You Am I, Diesel, Something For Kate and British India as special guests at all winery shows. The Panics have been announced as supports for the theatre dates.

This tour has been announced amongst other recent news for the Hunters & Collectors with the recent announcement of them appearing at the AFL Grand Final on Saturday (the best musical selection in years with recent duds Meatloaf and Temper Trap appearing on recent Grand Finals), they are also supporting two Bruce Springsteen concerts in February and also th release of “Crucible – The Songs Of Hunters & Collectors”, which features 15 tributes from the likes of Neil Finn & Eddie Vedder, The Living End, Birds Of Tokyo and Paul Kelly.

When they called it a day in 1998, Hunters & Collectors had been a juggernaut on the Australian music scene for years. They were one of those bands that if you saw them live once, you NEVER missed a show when they were in town next. The also delivered multi-platinum top 10 albums featuring such classics as ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’, ‘Holy Grail’, ‘When The River Runs Dry’, ‘Talking to a Stranger’, ‘Do You See What I See’, ‘Say Goodbye’ and a whole lot more.
