Watcher live 1981

Source: 1981 07 16 Storey Hall, Melbourne, Australia T2 Cassette

This week we go back to where it all began for Hunters and Collectors – random arty experimentation in Melbourne, Australia. Watcher was one of three tracks that went on to feature in the debut World of Stone EP in early 1982.

Astute punters now have a live recording of all three songs featured on the World of Stone EP. World of Stone itself appears on the Spare Parts rarities set that was in Horn of Plenty and can now be found on ITunes; Loinclothing was our rare track of the week for 8 June 2014; and this week we have Watcher!

In CD form, the World of Stone EP is included with most copies of the self titled Hunters and Collectors album.

Always the best of the three songs on the first EP!

Interesting hearing this really early stuff live as it really shows just how live in the studio the original records must have been.
